Clarke and Lexa, two unlikely allies caught in a tense and fragile truce between their two factions, are thrust into the wilds of a dangerous forest on a mission to scout a potential supply route. The oppressive mist and damp air mirror the tension between them, a stark reminder of the uneasy alliance they've been forced into. As they traverse the thick underbrush, Clarke's determination to succeed clashes with Lexa's cold, calculating presence. The sound of their footsteps is the only indication of their progress, but even that is interrupted when an ambush of rogue Grounders-warriors not loyal to Lexa-descends upon them. What follows is a frantic and brutal struggle for survival, as Clarke and Lexa are forced to rely on each other despite their differences. With Clarke's quick thinking and Lexa's masterful swordsmanship, they fight their way through the attackers, each moment thick with danger and urgency. Clarke, unwilling to back down even when Lexa's terse commands and biting remarks seem to imply she's nothing more than a nuisance, proves her worth in the heat of battle. Yet the tension between them only intensifies as they survive each wave of attackers, revealing the unspoken animosity and begrudging respect they have for each other.

Is it just me, or is learning to write fiction just a series of questions and answers that lead to more questions? The longer I spend with other writers, the more I realize I still have to learn. This book will discuss some of the many questions I have had (or still have) about writing. I'll also answer some questions people have asked me. How do I write good stories? How do you write so many words so fast? What genre is it anyway? Do I really NEED to do it that way? Is there a way to find readers for my work? What is a critique partner? How can you know what you don't know? The list goes on. I'm sure I'll come up with even more while I'm writing the book. Which is why I don't know exactly where this book will take me. I just know I'll learn a lot and, hopefully, give you something of value as well. Join me as I write about what I've learned so far and ask the questions I'm still working through.
