Casey, 16 year old girl who lives in the town where they are two sides. The rich part of town and the poor. She randomly decides to send letters to a random houses on the rich side of town not knowing that 16 year old Asher Montgomery will reply.

Julia gets left behind by her family in a world that is changing quickly. With just her dog, Elizabeth, they head off into the world to not only survive but to try and thrive. With a new disease sweeping through and some of her greatest dangers being other people, she quickly finds her self with a team of boys that seem to work well with her. When your life depends partically in the hands of others, you find that you have to pick your posion with those you keep around you.

Being skinny gave me the love and care of my family. They would hug me if I was skinny, they would tell me they love me. I was learning that being skinny was what defined my life. I was only alive if I was skinny.
