A young woman, Hester Louise was a courageous lady, and her friend, Loui James was timid and quiet, a delicate young lady. These two shared a similar story. Both girls lost one of their parents, and the other was too busy at the bottom of the bottle, blinded by grief. Hester never gave up, and eventually, saved her father from the path of an unsalvageable drunkard. Loui didn't exactly have a happy ending either, losing her mother to alcohol poisoning. Loui became more quiet, and a lot more gloomy. Just as Loui was about to open up, and confess her feelings, a portal opened and dragged her in. Hester followed in pursuit, determined to save her friend. And was led to a very peculiar place indeed. An alternative reality, separated from her world. Shall she uncover the secrets of this strange reality and save her best friend?

He used the tissue-fusing serum he created to save her, but it left her with major confidence issues, pesky immortality, and a body that's 40% raw meat. Some people have the worst luck. With half a face and the body of a child zombie, she eventually runs out of options. When a profiteering scientist turns up with the serum she thought her father destroyed all those years ago, she's dragged into the middle of his villainous scheme by the ragtag team assembled to stop him. Mostly. Petra's just in it for the cure they're making. Get the serum, make the cure, die. It's a simple plan. But things go south on their northwestern island when she witnesses a murder.

It seems as if I may have multiple life stories to tell you, I'm not even sure which are true or if any of them are. Perhaps you can imagine yourself under water, the whole world is shut out while holding your breath everything seems so still but you know when you come up for air the chaos has relapsed. The story is in first person so it will be referred to as I and my. My bestfriend was murdered on Halloween. The police haven't caught the killer. They gave up. With lack of evidence they have no clue who the killer could possibly even be or act like. I will find out who killed her. I will make him pay for what he has done to her. I feel as it's all my fault. She deserves justice regardless. I will make sure she gets the justice she needs. I wanted to spend my life with her and now I can't.
