Group Plural Rule in all my books: I use the word guys when it is one girl in a group of boys or one guy in a group of girls. This is fair on the male gender. Also friends will use the words dear and sweetie as those are neutral gender nicknames. Sweetheart will be used with both sexes speaking to opposite genders especially if they happen upon a platonic friend of an opposite gender in a time of sorrow when one needs words of encouragement that offer genuine comfort. McQueen is a racer new to the racing scene, but his irresponsibility, cockiness, and huge ego makes it seem like he doesn't deserve the pleasure. (Y/N) has always wanted to be a racer but isn't allowed to be, and she truly deserves the honor. (Y/N) really doesn't like McQueen, but in the end he just might be the ticket to finally becoming a racer like she's always dreamed of. And who knows, maybe McQueen really isn't that bad.
