Ava loves Florian. But Florian is never alone in his own head. Diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, he shares his everyday life with a cast of unpredictable-and often dangerous-characters: from a misogynistic douchebag to an overly lucid professor, a child, a singer, a female version of himself... and a psychopath. Ava tries to love him as a whole. To navigate the absences, the silences, the lies, and the bursts of violence. She believes in redemption, stability, and the possibility of an "us." But every day, reality cracks a little more. Florian stops taking his meds. Florian lies. And maybe it's not even Florian speaking anymore. Torn between love, illusion, and survival, Ava holds on however she can, while the man she loves gets lost in a mental labyrinth where nothing feels familiar anymore.

Our therapist has worked with us to create an internal container for our bad memories. Stealing the movie theme of Inside Out, these memories have been placed in orbs that slow turn grey as we work through them. Well, we have some of these bad orb memories here in other stories, and this story is where we will place some of our good orbs in writing.

After she gets a call about the death of her grandfather, she starts to roam her mind, trying to pull out any emotion she can find. She struggles to take in trauma, and she feels cold. The only thing swelling her head is a blatant and violent reality as she grapples to find the empathy connect and feel both love and loss.
