This was supposed to be a trilogy, but I can't seem to gather my thoughts enough for the other two I had planned to write. The Clock is Ticking is still here, and now stands alone. Hope you enjoy!! The year is 2190. Two countries are fighting for power: Nexus and Sevron. Nexus being an organized world inhabited by human-like AIs. Sevron being a lawless land filled with humans. The two have been feuding since 2052, and they don't plan to stop any time soon. That is, until a new country arises that plans to take down both of them. When this happens, Nexus and Sevron decide to send in two promising teenagers to infiltrate this country and help save their homelands. Roan Montaro hates AIs, like most Sevronians. Roan, however, is being forced to pretend to be in love with an AI for a job. She works under her uncle, a powerful government figure, and does his shady work for him. This mission, though, where she'll have to go undercover in an enemy nation's lands, is not the kind of job she wants. Especially not when the AI she's supposed to hate is strangely likable. Juno Capella is not a normal AI. His programming has always been above average. It is a type of malfunction, and he has never enjoyed it. He does not want to have attention. But when the Nexan government asks him to go through a spy mission for him, he can not say no. Not only is it the government, but this mission will bring his parents back after they are taken by an enemy country. The only issue? The girl he is supposed to collaborate with hates everything about him, and there is quite literally nothing he can do about it.

Many years into the future, we have passed through all of the phases of discrimination. What happens when the police system decides someone isn't as good as the rest. What power do they really have? Will love win or will the police system forever rule? This is my first story and I would love to get feedback!

His wings were frozen with the cold, but the adrenaline in his veins kept him going. The warm and inviting light he was so longing to return to was disappearing behind him. He flew faster. His wings fought the wind as he pushed himself to go further. Exhaustion was setting in, and he was sure that he'd faint any time now. His whole life was about to change. Just as he thought his wings had reached their limit, he felt it. The extreme magical energy surrounded him, taking his breath away. He erupted in a gleeful laugh, he had done it. He hovered just inside the Lullivaughn Wall, and turned to look back at his home. The only place he had ever known, yet now it was nothing but a burden. He could no longer see the Castle, or the city, but the Tree of Souls stood out majestically above the City of Iven-Ra. He took in it's beauty, for he had never seen the entire tree all at once. He gave a sad smile, almost as if saying goodbye to an old friend. The silence in the air broke with a loud yell. "Prince Lukesevaughn, no!" He needed to be quick now, any moment they could catch him. Turning back to the barrier, he braced himself. He counted to three, tucked in his wings, then threw himself into the forcefield.

This story takes place after Broken Throne. The difference is that Mare realizes she doesn't want to go through life without Cal. However, Cal has decided that Norta isn't ready for a big government change, especially after the recent events that have taken place. He takes up the title as King and helps rebuild Norta from the ground up with new council members and people he trusts. Mare takes his side, not loving the idea of being Queen, but loving the idea that she will get to spend the rest of her life with Cal. (I know this doesn't fit the storyline of the books but I'm hoping you guys still enjoy it!)
