Nel futuro, l'istruzione è diventata un incubo senza fine. Migliaia di studenti vivono intrappolati in un labirinto di edifici scolastici che si estendono per chilometri, in un sistema dove i professori sono simulacri senza volto e i corsi non terminano mai. Il diploma è una promessa irraggiungibile, il mondo del lavoro una favola raccontata per mantenere l'illusione. Fuori dalle mura scolastiche sembra non esserci nulla: negozi, parchi e perfino la natura potrebbero essere soltanto proiezioni. Ma cosa accadrebbe se uno studente iniziasse a dubitare dell'esistenza stessa della realtà? Un romanzo distopico che esplora il confine tra educazione e controllo, tra sogno e prigionia, tra la libertà e l'eterno inganno.

Si tratta proprio di quello che vedete lassù nel titolo: frammenti di storie. Vi parlerò dei miei personaggi, di coloro che vivono nella mia mente e che, ahimè, non ne usciranno mai; sono davvero di ogni tipo e di ogni specie immaginabile, di ogni età e orientamento sessuale, di ogni realtà, da quella medievale a quella futuristica... Ognuno di loro per me è speciale a modo suo, e spero che riusciranno a conquistare anche voi, che "sfoglierete" i loro passati. Non mi resta che augurarvi buona lettura, vi aspetto in tanti!

Year 3019. Old continents do not longer exist ( there's no more North and South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Antartica). The world is divided in four big sections, simply called Section 1,2,3 and 4. Races and nationalities are not a thing anymore, religions have been abolished. Climate is artificially created and held to be the same in every part of the globe ( a seasonal but gentle climate ). Capitalism still exist, but social disparities are moderated by public wealth politics. People in the Sections live fairly well but are not allowed to do all the things and have all the privileges that people in the two Mystic Cities have. Were once laid the two Poles, at the "extremities" of the world there are the Two Mystic Cities: Aetherea and Eatherea. Only politicians, sport stars, singers, models, actors and few other élite categories can live there. Although possible for someone in the Sections to change their social status and become a citizen of one of the two Mystic Cities, it's extremely difficult and unlikely to happen. Leya is a normal girl, leading the most normal and ( boring ) life in Section 2; her wish is to upgrade her social status and life to become a well known singer, a celebrity in one of the Two Mystic Cities. She is determined to make the almost impossible.
