The war is over, but the battle is still being fought. The Dark Days of Panem are over but nothing is looking brighter. The Capitol has just squelched the fires of the rebellion and ended the war. President Dane has announced the Hunger Games; his solution to keeping the districts in line and Aldera Clearwater is District 11's tribute. You go along on the journey as Rue, a 12 year old little girl from District 11 gets "reaped" for the 74th Hunger Games and travels to the Capital where she will prepare to fight for her life. Go along with her from her life at home up until she dies in the Hunger Games arena.

Have you ever thought about what would have happened if Rue won The Hunger Games instead? Hi, I'm Rue. I'm only 12 and I'm from district 11. This year, at the reaping... they. chose. me. They chose me to fight to the death in an arena with 23 other children, just as scared as I am. But I can win, I am a tribute. A hunter. A girl. But not a piece in their games. This story is a Hunger games prequel It's my personal interpretation of how one of past Hunger Games' Quarter Quells would have went. In this story you'll read about Synthe an 18 year old district 2 male. I go into detail about his headspace, challenges he faces and my personal favorite : life in District 2. I wrote this story years ago when I was a little younger so now I'm in the process of going back and editing pretty much everything. Reading it again I find myself cringing at a lot, but at the same time it makes me smile seeing what my younger mind added to the great Suzanne Colin's work. Having graduated high-school a couple years ago I'd like to give this story another go rebirthing it. Thank you for reading.

Willow Elrod from district 11 won the 73th annual Hunger Game at thirteen years old. It was almost two years ago and she hopes that maybe her life starts to get a bit easier. But her biggest fear comes true. She has to go to the Hunger Games again. To fight for her life. And it's not all. She becomes part of the rebellion and her job is to protect Katniss, the mockingjay. Will she survive alive or is this the end of her story?

Ambriel Aaron comes from an unusual family. Her mother Aurum is what people call a "seer" because she can see things that others cannot. Things about people, about the future, and about the past. Even though District 11 is highly policed by peacekeepers, they mostly leave her family alone because no one wants all their dirty secrets to be public knowledge. Ambriel was taught to fight from the time she was 5 by her father, Joseph, because her mother knew that one day Ambriel would be in the games. Ambriel is ready for the Capitol, but the Capitol will never be ready for her!

12 year old Twin sisters Lily and Ivy Walker are living a happy life with their best friend Rue in their home of District 11. This is until Lily gets reaped to fight to the death in the Hunger Games.
