With the help from Cinna, Effie, Haymitch, and Finnick, this is how Esmeralda gets through everything while trying to help them. The Capitol has seized control again & has inflicted upon the districts the annual Hunger Games as punishment & a mark of their power. Fourteen-year-old Ivey Vines & twelve-year-old Luke Dallas have been selected as the tributes from District 13 during the Third Annual Hunger Games. They must go & face the frightening turns of the arena, & their terrifying opponents, their fellow tributes. They also have to face the fact that only one of them can come home if at all. Luke & Ivey have known each other their whole life & are practically siblings! Along with these terrifying feats awaiting them in the arena, they begin to discover something dark & dangerous hidden inside the Capitol. Could it be that there is more to the Hunger Games than the districts know?

But most of all how his one true love, Selena Oversmith, was so cruelly reaped the year before and died a tragic, lonely death in the Games that Cato hates. But nobody knows his story after the Games. How a group of Capitol rebels, having perfected their science and technology, manage to ressurect Cato and all his fellow fallen tributes from not only his Games, but then 10 previous. Including Selena. Life is harder than Cato could have ever imagined when Selena rejects his love, Clove hates him for leaving her to die, the other tributes from his Games all see him as a bloodthirsty murderer, and Glimmer realises that Cato never loved her at all and seeks revenge. But it all gets to a new height when the Resurrection leader, Commander Mari Linseed, orders Cato to become the head of a new branch of the rebel army that will personally decimate the culprits that organised the Hunger Games. The stakes are high, and if the Capitol learn of the tributes rekindled existence before the time is right, the plan and Cato's world could come tumbling down. Can Cato earn the respect of those that he had so wronged in the arena? Can he help to bring down the Capitol once and for all? But most of all - can he make the girl who he was so certain was dead fall in love with him again, before it's too late...?
