This is a Hunger Games fic. I decided I would come up with a backstory for Finch Crossly, known more commonly as Foxface. I figured it might be interesting and, seeing as she is one of the most mysterious characters imo, I could give her a story to tell. It's going to be like she's telling her life story I guess?? Idk

I know because it was the exact thing that he told me before he went away. I could still feel his warm hands on my face and the way he held me close before the Peacekeepers came in to take him. How he promised he would do everything that he could to come back to me, but of course that never happened so here I sat trying my best to be strong. It took everything in me not to cry, not to fall apart right then and there, but deep down I knew I couldn't. I couldn't keep being a scared little girl, I had to be hopeful that nothing bad would happen, but if something did I had to be brave. "I know you're right but this feeling never goes away. I feel like I'm being hunted, like my life isn't mine, and I don't know what to do." "The thing is, it never does." I started, placing my hand on his shoulder, looking deeply into his blue eyes, "the feeling never does go away.
