my own take on the background of Eric Coulter from Erudite to Dauntless

This story follows Claire Evans, a member of erudite who ends up caught and twisted in the web created by herself and dauntless leader Eric when she is forced to join dauntless by Jeanine. Her guarded and skeptical attitudes towards dauntless members, matched by Eric's controlling and callous tendencies result in a paradox that leaves them both in the dark.

I woke up this morning with Robert Palmer's 1985 hit song Addicted to Love stuck in my head. I couldn't fall asleep again, so I wrote it into a one-shot about Eric falling in love in a variation of the Divergent cannon universe. Enjoy! (adult language)

They do things -bad things- they never thought they would do. How're they going to handle that? How will they survive their own mind? Fighting someone else might be hard, but fighting yourself is extremely difficult.
