Chikara (力) is the Japanese term to describe "strength, power". This term expresses itself throughout the story as the characters' growth strives. It was not long ago when the child of Amity residents was saved by Dauntless Special Ops Corp leader Sam Quinlin before being murdered. Showing talent at a young age, the leader saw this as a promising candidate to take his place in the future as the new leader of the Dauntless Special Ops Corp. The child was put under gruel training when the child reached the age of six. Due to improvement, the child was able to be the youngest child to ever be accepted into the Choosing Ceremony, being fourteen years of age. Success was brought upon the child, showing through the leader board as being ranked number one in the class. After one year, the child was finally promoted to an Officer position in the Dauntless Special Ops Corp, one of the most highly elite groups in the faction. After five years of work, the child was sent to train a new set of recruits, only for the purpose of hopefully passing on skills, and proving their skills worthy of them taking over the place of Leader in the future. However, as the child is faced through the obstacles of teaching, ambitions may change. This is the story of Adelaide (a-duh-laye-duh) "Popper" Foster. All characters and plot from the Divergent Series belong to Veronica Roth. I, however, take full responsibility for my characters and my own events I created (which will be fully noticeable). My name is Rose, I am sixteen years old and I am Divergent. My results were, in order, Dauntless, Abnegation, and Erudite. My original faction is Abnegation. But, I can't take being in this faction anymore. With an abusive father and no mother, all I had was my brother, until he left to. He left to go to Erudite, so my father said. Now, I'm all alone taking my drunk father's beatings everyday. Up until I move to my new faction, and trust me I'm moving.

The Fault in Our Divergence leaves off at the end of the third book in the Divergent trilogy, Alliegent. Tobias is still struggling with the absence of his beloved Tris as well as trying to find out what he wants to do with himself in this new place he calls home. With the help of his friends (Old and New) he figures out what exactly he needs to do. The Fault in Our Divergence will have a slight crossover with The Fault in Our Stars in the end.

Some people would call her selfish and self-centred, but Imogen sees it as being head strong and independent. She is excited to have the aptitude test to find out which faction she belongs too . Eric Coulter is a ruthless dauntless leader who doesn't take orders from anyone, he doesn't let people control him, and doesn't take nonsense from anyone. He's the type of person that people don't want to get in a confrontation with and someone who you don't want to be on their bad side. He is cold hearted and doesn't let people see his nice side, if he even has one, until he meets a special initiate called Imogen Walker. This story will contain a bit of smut.
