WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION. There are some friends you never forget. It's the summer of 1955. For Ethan Harper, a biracial kid raised mostly by his white father, race has always been a distant conversation. When he's sent to spend the summer with his aunt and uncle in small-town Alabama, his blackness is suddenly front and center, and no one is shy about making it known he's not welcome there. Enter Juniper Jones. The town's resident oddball and free spirit, she's everything the townspeople aren't-open, kind, and accepting. Armed with two bikes and an unlimited supply of root beer floats, Ethan and Juniper set out to find their place in a town that's bent on rejecting them. As Ethan is confronted for the first time by what it means to be black in America, Juniper tries to help him see the beauty in even the ugliest reality, and that even the darkest days can give rise to an invincible summer . . .

WATTPAD ORIGINAL EDITION In 1955, mixed-race Ethan Harper leaves his progressive hometown for a summer in Alabama where he's not welcome, except by resident free spirit, Juniper Jones. ***** After getting himself into a bout of trouble, 16-year-old Ethan Harper's parents send him to Ellison, Alabama, to live with his aunt and uncle for the summer. But the year is 1955, and Alabama is a far cry from his beloved home of Arcadia, Washington. As much as it's hotter in temperature, it's colder in every other way, and Ethan learns the hard way that people see his mere existence as a threat. Amidst all the mayhem, a fiery, free-spirited, oddball walks into Ethan's life. Her name is Juniper Jones. She is the first person in Ellison who seems unfazed by their racial differences, and she promises to give Ethan a summer he will always remember, filled with endless adventure and discovery. With Juniper, Ethan can breathe, he can be, despite the incessant attention and bullying their newly formed friendship attracts. Can the two survive the summer, run in the light and block out the noise of the outside world? [Published version comes out June 16, 2020 with Wattpad Books!] [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION. It only takes one moment to change your life forever . . . After her mother's deportation last year, all Soledad "Sol" Gutierrez wants is for her life to go back to normal. Everything's changed-new apartment, new school, new family dynamic-and Sol desperately wants to fit in. When she joins her community college's history club, it comes with an odd initiation process: break into Westray's oldest house and steal . . . a fork? There's just one problem: while the owners of the house aren't home, their grandson Ethan is, and when he catches Sol with her hand in the kitchen drawer, she barely escapes with the fork intact. This one chance encounter irrevocably alters her life, and Sol soon learns that sometimes fitting in isn't as important as being yourself-even if that's the hardest thing she's ever had to do.

Life can be overwhelming for teens. Especially at Cambridge City Secondary School. Episodes are releasing every Saturday at 7 p.m. GMT, starting from Saturday 12 of September until Saturday 3rd of April 2027. This will give us 30 episodes in total. This isn't ongoing forever like most soap operas because I am still in school doing my own GCSEs, and it'll get way too stressful for me to continue this story into year eleven. I tried to cover the time that most holidays happen, so we can see the characters at Christmas and Halloween and New Year's Day, and it ends when they break up for the Easter half term. Bidects is heavily different than my other projects like Drama Room. I wanted to write something fast paced and easy to read, mostly lighthearted, centred around relatable people my age, mostly going through relatable things that we all struggle with. Okay, maybe not all of it is relatable... That being said, this (kind of) soap opera still touches on lots of difficult and dark themes. There are storylines including abuse, trauma, assault, addiction and terrorism. I am currently doing my GCSEs so I won't be able to update this as much as I would like to. Please feel free to give me any feedback you like in the Wattpad comments, my writing is open to all interpretations and I am open to all opinions and storyline suggestions. Fetauring some Bidects characters, and centred around the school play, Drama Room is also available on my page, episodes every other Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to read this enormous description. It means a lot that you'd care about my writing. I am very open to feed

Heritage: The Unravelling Book 2 In a world that eats people, you either become teeth... or you find someone who refuses to let you be on the menu. Lena isn't broken. She's messy, dyslexic, ADHD, and tired of being edited out. School wants her proper. Home wants her small. The world wants her gone. Then the darkness offers her a deal. She falls into the cartel. Not because she's naive. Because she's desperate. And the only person who sees her clearly is the son of the man who built it. Rowan was made to be a king. He's spent his life performing for his father. Until Lena. Now he has a choice: burn the world down, or learn to guard it. This is a story about a voice. About who gets to have it. About two people learning that strength isn't berserk. Sometimes it's quiet. Sometimes it's tea. Sometimes it's checking every 3 days. Reader discretion: abuse, mental health crises, addiction, cartel violence.
