Yuki's life takes a turn when he wakes up to find his mother has abandoned him. With no one else to turn to, Yuki has to call his uncle. He isn't sure why it had to be a cat of all things. Trein can't stop being amused by it. Crowley, Head Mage of NRC, sees a prime opportunity to have a beast tamer on staff and provide an education and paying job for one of his faculty's family members. He's truly a kind and generous Head Mage! He's not sure why said teacher seems so upset with him... Okay, so maybe he assigns other duties to the child as well. But that was between the two of them. A few days after the incident at Heartslabyul Dorm, Briar and the others are doing their best to settle in the Night Raven Academy, and learn a tournament called the Spelldrive Tournament is taking place, but many students participating in the games are getting into accidents, so Briar and her friends have to investigate to see who is behind the strange incidents.

Briar and her friends are beginning their first day at Night Raven College, but Ace shows up unexpectedly with a collar around his neck and stay at their dorm. All because he ate the Dorm Master's tart. Now Briar and the others are going through their first few days at the school, as they try to help Ace with his problem. However, the task is proven to be harder than it seems.

With the magestone being used an accessory for the queen's tiara, an unlikely group assembles to get the stone back, Grim, Sereia, Leona, Kalim, Jamil, Ruggie, and Briar to perform for the gala's main event, a Fashion Show, where Briar's fae genes and magic will be put to the test.
