In Maynilad, fear is not a feeling. It is a rule. The city lives in layers-light above, silence below-and in the silence, people speak of things that should not exist. They call them Elementals. And no one questions what happens when they appear. Amari stopped questioning a long time ago. At fourteen, she saw something in the dark that never left her memory. Something that should not have looked back at her the way it did. Years later, she enters Bantay Dilim-a classified task force that operates where normal law cannot reach. Trained in Arnis, discipline, and silence, she becomes part of operations that move only when something must disappear. But some missions don't behave like missions. Some reports don't match what the eyes see. And some shadows feel too aware to be empty. The deeper she goes, the more the city stops feeling like a place-and starts feeling like something watching in stillness. AMARI: BANTAY DILIM is a dark cinematic urban fantasy about grief, control, and the thin line between what is feared... and what is real.

The Blindness of Modern Ego: The Spiritual and Ecological Cost of Conquering Nature. The Social Impact: The "Hollowing" of the Self On a social level, the script critiques the modern obsession with performance and validation. The JSU runners represent a society that values "the numbers" (GPS, pace, social media clout) over genuine human connection. By focusing solely on the "I"-the desire to be the fastest or the strongest-they become spiritually hollowed out. They are socially present but spiritually disconnected, making them vulnerable to the "Dark Spark" of envy and isolation. The lesson here is that when we treat life as a competition, we lose our "spiritual immune system" and our ability to empathize with others. The Environmental Impact: Exploitation vs. Coexistence Environmentally, the script warns against Anthropocentrism-the belief that nature is merely a backdrop for human achievement. When the runners "drop the hammer" to "conquer" the trail, they aren't interacting with the mountain; they are exploiting it. The "decay" of Diwata Vilingga serves as a metaphor for environmental degradation: when we stop respecting the "Emerald Soul" of the earth and view it as a playground or a resource, the ecosystem literally loses its life force. The "Luyong Giants" turning into nightmares shows that when nature is mistreated, it becomes a mirror of our own inner darkness, eventually becoming hostile to our survival. true sustainability-both of the human soul and the planet-requires a shift from the "I" of ego-driven conquest to the "We" of ancestral respect. To save the mountain (The Environment), we must first silence the noise of our own vanity (The Social/Personal Ego).

If we are still in the 90's and someone will approach me and say "You're a descendant of a Goddess," I'll most likely answer "You need some serious help." But we are now living in the early 22nd century, where the country has endured and survived the Great World War and Vampires ruled the world like kings -literally. Anything is possible. My one shot to escape the social stigma branded to someone like me who is born from a lower caste is just one school away. I am one of those lucky few chosen to attend the Imperial Academy. It may be a vampire infested school, but a school is still a school. Everything is okay until my very own personal bully shows up. And to top it all an arrogant vampire prince thinks I'm his! And I get to see them every day. Great. My name is Lira, and this is my story. Published under Cloak Pop Fiction

I always had these made-up characters in my head for the longest time. I can't remember all of them, but they are buried deep in my thoughts. At some times in a day, faces, and details of the characters I imagined would pop in my head, only for them to vanish again in the next few minutes. There were a lot of them, some I named after songs, some I named after my favorite Apex Legend, some of them are named after poems that I have read...some have blue eyes.. some have red hair.. some can pull big-ass swords out of their sweater holes.. and some can turn invisible but only when someone's not looking (trust me, I come up with such random characters with silly powers) Now, I'm writing this short novel, hoping that I could give justice to these characters. To give them life.. to give them a voice.. a passion.. a lover.. and a reason for being created. I don't want them caged in my head. I always took inspiration from Quentin Tarantino's works, and I am hoping to navigate in the same direction as him, though I am in a completely different vessel, far smaller than his. But it's always good to start with something. If you guys have read The Copper Gauntlet and The Magician, you can tell that I took inspiration from those two books as well. I always fancied teenage people having magical powers in a modern setting (like David Stutler in the Sorcerer's Apprentice film back in 2010). Now, I take you to the story of Aloy, a normal teenage boy, who finds himself snared between factions with roots in Philippine folkore.. This story is still a work in progress, and it's not perfect. And yes, the cover image needs some re-work, I bought it online, from one of those Facebook groups for writers.. I'm hoping to get a digital artist soon and to use this platform as a way to eventually publish this book. Again, what you're reading now, and what you're about to read next isn't perfect. But I hope you'll still enjoy it nevertheless.
