So my name is Jade Dixon. My dad's name is Merle Dixon. I never met him. My mom says he was a real idiotic rebel who got her pregnant and left. She says I'm the the mistake and that she wishes I was never born. She remarried and has an 'angel for a son' and 'a god for a husband' what a kiss ass right? He beats her daughter and she automatically loves him. I hope she realizes what Mikey does to me too and gets some sense knocked into her or maybe she knows but doesn't want to help me.. Who knows.. I don't really care anymore. My life is shit. I wish he had taken me with him when he left.. It would have been easier for me in an orphanage too than in here.

This is a story based in The Walking Dead. Mackenzie is staying in Georgia with her sister, Lori Grimes, and her family while completing graduate school. However, when the dead begin to rise, she is forced to flee the city and learn to survive alongside her family.
