This story takes place in the first Devil May Cry, after Dante defeats Nelo Angelo and takes Vergil's amulet. Warning:I do not own any of the Devil May Cry series or it's characters. I only own the plot.

Vergil is back from hell and has been thriving. Has a thriving business, wealth , a nice home and family. Ever night he has nightmares about his past. This leads him to restless nights, and constant visits to Dante's shop. After looking online of something that can mabey help, he goes to his brother.

Summary: When a snarky teen named Cassia shows up at Devil May Cry, insisting on shadowing Dante for "demon-hunting field training," he takes the gig-mostly for the cash. But Cassia's fascination with death, her eerily familiar fighting style, and the way demons react to her hint at something darker. As ghostly memories resurface and ancient cults stir, Dante realizes Cassia may be the reincarnation of Seline-a girl he failed to save long ago. Now, as a demonic force rises to possess her, Dante must face his past, confront the impossible, and decide if he's willing to lose her... again. Blood will spill. Secrets will awaken. And someone still has to pay for that strawberry sundae.

When Trish offers you insight on how your "old behavior patterns" still seem to rule over your new claimed freedom, after leaving your obsessive boyfriend behind, to work along with the three "Devil May Cry"-hunters, you challenge Dante not to sleep with each other any longer, to proof a point that you're dependent on him or pleasing him.
