Melanie di Angelo, daughter of the Lord Hades and sister to Bianca and Nico di Angelo, had been traveling completely alone for many years. The very last time she spoke to her brother was a year or two after the war over Olympus against Kronos had ended. He had told her that it would be better for them both. He had said he needed time to grieve those they lost properly and to find his true self. Something she, too, felt necessary. She could understand his point of view, not that she liked it. For it did nothing to soften the blow of virtually forced isolation. After parting ways, Melanie decided to live in the solitude imposed upon her, just so she could avoid any rouge monsters that unfortunately crossed her dangerous path.
