"Is it truly an injustice to remove one's identity if nobody will never remember who they once were?" Experiment 1340: The Player. As the prototype version of unpaid warehouse labor, this experiment is Playtime Co.'s best shot at driving down employee costs throughout the factory. Its appearance is kid-friendly, blends into the background, and the best part? Its only desire is to make others happy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a fanfiction inspired by the events and characters derived from Mob Entertainment's game "Poppy Playtime". This is an alternate universes, so expect many deviations from the canon. Although I cannot promise that I will follow the canon to the letter, I can assure you that there will be NO SHIPS. Everything is platonic, so you can breathe easy. All art is created by me, though it is referenced from the source material.

This is just an idea that popped into my head when I was watching the playthrough of Chapter 5, and it wouldn't go away until I wrote something. I drew the cover image myself. You are <Name> Castle, the child of one of the doctors who worked at Playtime Co. You don't exactly see eye to eye, and between your mother's cruel, secretive nature and a peculiar note you found in the trash, you embark on a dangerous journey to uncover the truth, not really caring what happens to you along the way. Things to note- -The reader's gender is intentionally left ambiguous for the sake of everyone getting to insert themselves as the character(I don't want anyone to feel excluded because of their gender). -Many events will be altered or even outright changed. -Made-up lore. -The reader struggles with depression and low self-esteem, which is a major thing for some parts of the story. -Any physical description I give the reader will be for a reason. -This may not suit the personality of every reader out there. Still, I hope this is okay. -There will be many triggering things in the story(blood, gore, death, depressing themes, abuse, just to name a few). -There are OCs that will be in the story as part of the reader's background before they enter the facility. -There may be references to other things. -I will refrain from using Y/N, as I can't take it seriously and only associate it with the Y/N x CEO memes. Instead, I will use <Name>. -I will make mistakes. This is my first ever fanfiction beyond scenario/headcanon books, so, please, bear with me. -Every part will begin with communication indicators. -This is a fanfiction and should not be treated as an alternative to canon. Receiving a note and a VHS Tape regarding a certain abandoned toy factory, Chronos Mysteries Agency co-founders Aeon and Mumbly travel to August, 2005 to investigate. Joining an ex-employee who came to the factory on their own reasons, the duo travel through the factory, learning what happened on the way through the factory. However, as they distinguish the difference between allies and enemies, the bigger question remains: what happened to the children during the Hour of Joy? And can any of the experiments be saved, or are they doomed to perish for something out of their control?

Cece knew for a fact that something was wrong when she got a letter from her brother's old job. It said that the employees were still there, that they needed help. Playtime Co. had shut down for unknown reasons. Her brother had been fired anyways, so why were they requesting help from him, of all people? I was inspired by Chapter 5 of Poppy Playtime to make this story (specifically the memories). The book will take the POVs of the many children turned into monsters and end with The Hour of Joy (With a possible epilogue). I hope you enjoy it! When fifteen year old Amy Myers gets a strange letter that was never meant for her, what will happen when she enters the old abandoned factory called Playtime Co? Factory's toys were created around the same time-Doey the Doughman and Sweetie Confetti-Cake. They were both mascots of a feature Playtime Co. had. Doey was Playtime's mascot for their famous Doey Dough whilst Sweetie was the mascot for Sweets Confection Cafe, a pastry shop built in Playcare. However, despite being released around the same week, one toy received more attention than the other. Many children preferred Doey the Doughman over Sweetie and to fix the issue, Playtime made the two figures partners. They narrated that Doey loved Sweetie's desserts while Sweetie needed a permanent taste-tester. At first, many children loved the duo. But a month later, Sweetie Confetti-Cake would get many complaints. Finally, Playtime Co. did something it should've done from the beginning - discontinue Sweetie. A young child named [Name] was a big fan of Sweetie. Once she heard of the news of her favorite toy being discontinued, she was crushed.
