Each year Riverdell High School has a special treat for students in their senior year, following the final exams. It consists of stuffing all of them in warm, smelly costumes and leaving them to die of 2 weeks of awkward social encounters while acting out their assigned characters throughout everyday life situations. Addison McLee, 17 and the officially proclaimed music geek of her grade, had hoped for something as easy as acting out a weird, blue smurf or even running around in a big hotdog costume. Instead she was now stuck with Lords, Ladys, Dukes and Earls at her beloved lunch table and forced to communicate with the high (annoying) aristocracy of Riverdell High, her behavior scripted by a character appointed to her. It doesn't really help that her enemy since middle school, Henry Forster, is closely intertwined with her life these 2 weeks, causing her to occasionally let her ladylike manners falter and make a bit of a roundabout at the now noble and dignified school procedures.
