Air quality dropped to a level where advanced turbofan and turboprop engines couldn't run, gas turbine powered tanks weren't any better. Anything beyond World War II technology became too advanced to produce for the remaining city states and counties that dotted the land. with the decision of the Shensa-Do federation to allow air forces in 1966, WWII fighters and attack aircraft were in ready supply, the big city states bought the blueprints and built the planes selling to any buyer, from early Ki-27's to the most advanced mustangs, spitfires and late model ME-109G's and K's. Because of the barren terrain, the airship became the primary mode of transport, although easy targets for raiders, escort ships were built as flying aircraft carriers. One of these was the 155th Canadian Mercenary Force, Formed in 2049, comprising of mostly MK22 Spitfires. It was led by one of the deadliest pilots to ever fly an airplane, the son of Shensa-Do legend Spencer "JPEG" Duesburry. He was known as: The Pale Flier
