Janine walks inside a bakery only wanting to enjoy a mouth-watering pastry, but her life quickly changes as three bulky men come in the bakery and threatened the owner to come out and give them what they want. All the customers hide and duck down in terror. One of the men glanced over at Janine and starred. He gets his boys' attention, all of the men stop the violent threatening and look at Janine. "You're lucky you are on the list." One of them says and they all stomp out of the building. Jenine knew what he was talking about, she knew she might encounter them some day. She knew: she was on her high school boyfriend's 'no harm list' for his family's mafia gang and he was on her list too.

Sam is a young girl who is sent to prison for about a year before she is even allowed to have a trial. During her first few days in prison, she meets with Matt Cooper, her brother's childhood friend. In the name of his friendship with her brother he helps her, by convincing the judge that she stays over at his house under his supervision for the remainder of the year until her Trial. Everything is alright but it's Sam who's not. Very quickly she falls back into her old habits betraying the trust Matt had in her. Trying to prove to him that she can be a normal citizen, she turns a new page in life. Everything was going down smoothly, but she was never supposed to fall in love with her supervisor and her brother's childhood friend...especially not when she has to go back to prison.
