Next time you see an apparition, don't think your eyes fooled you. Never think it was just your imagination; don't laugh at the impossibilities of their existence. Never mock them. Don't make them angry. Feel fear, if you must. Hide under the bed covers, cross your fingers, whisper ridiculous wishes and hopes. Be aware, if you must. Keep the lights on, even if its flame flickers weakly. Lock the windows and doors, close the blinds; or keep them open so everyone can hear your scream.
