Sydney 'Sid' Gates is a problem solver. He has to be. He's friends with Samantha Carlton, who is the very definition of a klutz and an airhead. There he meets the small and abrasive Matilda; the comically shy and reclusive Eva; and the all round popular and generally likable Club President, Margo. Through this Sid ends up finding way more problems to solve than he ever did sitting at home watching anime. There's Margo's feud with the mysterious Student Council Leader, and then there's the Club becoming the target for the banned Anime Club and its own sunlight deprived President. It's official. Sid's life is now ridiculous. But he's the protagonist so eventually he'll win out. And who knows? Maybe he'll fall in love along the way. Possibly. Maybe. Unlikely.
