I love my family. More in retrospect and from a few cities away in my twenties, but even up close and personal, I love my parents and my grandmother. At the end of my life, or even after a few quick keystrokes into my laptop in these moments, I would like to be able to show them and whoever else wants to know what I remember of them and of my childhood growing up in their care. This is an ongoing passion project to write my own "2000's Barbie film" inspired screenplay, which I started back in October 2024. The story it's taking from is "Cannetella," about a princess who refuses to marry, makes an impossible ask of her father, and needs to be saved from the sorcerer who exploited that opportunity. It's a darker story, so I'd recommend it for older audiences. I challenged myself to write a version that was more available to modern audiences and adapting it into a Barbie story just sounded "correct."

Why now days fashion trends are nothing but nudity?? Why modesty is taged as insecurity??Why fashion trends are a way to prove ourselves that we are cool, trendy and modern?? Why does it call 'empowerment' even when it's not a free choice but peer pressure? I'm not against beauty. I'm not against self-expression. I'm against a system that uses insecurity to sell clothes, that turns bodies into billboard. That's not "just fashion" that's exploitation with glliter on top. A monologue to express a silent thought that can relate to you.
