It's a slow burn story. In 1980s, when most boys his age chased dreams, Chinnaswamy, only sixteen, carried the burdens of an entire village. He sold his ancestral lands - land that generations protected - to build rice mills, irrigation canals, and small workshops so the people around him would never sleep hungry again. Jobs appeared where poverty once lived. Families survived because of him. To the villagers, he was not just a young man. He was authority. Respect followed him everywhere - but so did fear. Because Chinnaswamy believed justice should be swift. Mercy, in his eyes, weakened order. Those who opposed him learned quickly that kindness and ruthlessness lived side by side within him. Politics noticed him before he noticed politics. When he entered public life, people voted not out of persuasion, but faith. He won easily. Yet governance was never his true goal. What fascinated him was control - the doors power opened, the silence it commanded, and the way people bent without question. And slowly, like feet sinking into unseen sand, ambition turned into greed.

He has loved her for fourteen years. Through dinner parties and Sunday lunches and eighteen years of friendship with the man she goes home to. Through Wednesday coffees that started as nothing and became the only part of his week that felt entirely real. Through every smile she placed a half-beat too early and every sleeve pulled down in summer and every time she said fine when she meant something else entirely. He has never said so. He has never acted on it. He has made himself - quietly, steadily, at enormous personal cost - safe ground. Because Amelia Sutton is surviving. Her life looks perfect from the outside. The Mosman house. The high-powered job. The partner who is always reasonable, always pleasant, always watching. Dom has never raised his voice. He has never needed to. He has other ways of making himself understood - ways that leave no evidence, that sound like nothing when repeated to someone else, that have taught Amelia, over sixteen years, to make herself smaller and call it fine. She is not fine. Marcus knows it. He has been watching the woman he loves disappear by degrees and he has been - because it is the only thing he is allowed to be - safe ground. Present. Steady. The one place she can put the coat down. When she finally says the thing she has never said out loud to anyone - not really, no, not for quite a long time - he receives it without pressing and asks for nothing in return. He is waiting for her to find her way back to herself. She is finding it. But Dom is always watching. And he notices everything. And the ground is shifting under all of them. * * * What It Once Was is a slow-burn romance about a woman reclaiming herself and the man who never stopped seeing who she really was. (C) Copyright. Devon and Kenise Kimber appear to be living proof of God's favor-a powerful hotel magnate, his radiant wife, and a fifteen-year marriage admired for its wealth, influence, and ministry. Their story is celebrated from the pulpit as evidence of what prayer and perseverance can build. Behind the polished photographs and anniversary tributes, Kenise carries a truth no one sees. The bruises fade, but the damage runs deeper, leaving her to wrestle with fear, faith, and the cost of staying silent inside a life that looks holy and whole. As the cracks in their glass house widen, Kenise must choose between enduring in the name of duty or trusting the God who promises beauty for ashes to lead her toward freedom-even if it costs everything she's built. Beautiful Ash is a Christian drama of faith under fire, confronting appearances, abuse, obedience, and the redemptive love that can rise from ruin.

She becomes a neurosurgeon. Her life looks flawless. What no one sees is the way her parents raised her to obey instead of dream. The way love was taught through fear. The way her charming husband chooses who she speaks to, where she goes, what she wears, how she breathes. When Elara finally begins working at a prestigious hospital, she meets Dr. Adrian Cole - a surgeon who doesn't fall for the image. He notices her silence. Her flinches. The way she asks permission to exist. And slowly, gently, he shows her something she has never known before. Choice. Safety. Desire. Love without control. For the first time, Elara imagines a different life. One where she leaves. One where she is free. One where love doesn't hurt. But some cages are more dangerous than they appear. The corridors stretch too long. The staff know too much. And the children watching her from the beds around the room are the same faces she remembers from missing posters. But this hospital isn't just a place for the sick. It has floors no visitor is meant to see. Above, frightened children are kept safe from the homes that failed them. Below, men and women are locked away in the dark - criminals who vanished without a trace. Somewhere between justice and cruelty, someone is deciding who deserves mercy... and who deserves punishment. As the truth unfolds, she realizes the hospital didn't choose her by accident. Because to escape the building, she'll have to decide something terrifying: Expose the truth... or become part of it. In this hospital, the worst things don't happen in the operating rooms. They happen between floors.

She is a sweet girl, but when her sister gets out of jail will she ruin the life Zoey has created or will she be okay with it? Juno is a brunette, with almond shaped eyes hazel eyes, and Juno is a lot pickier about the people she chooses to be around. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Get off of her!" I grab his shirt and try to pull him off Zoey, but he swings back and punches me. I wipe my busted and bleeding lip. "I said get the fuck off of her, you bastard!" I grab the collar of his shirt I yank it back as hard as I can and he goes flying backward. I look over at my sister quivering in fear, crying, and in pain and I look back at 'my dad' and I grab the front of his shirt and punch him in the face. "Juno," I look him in the eyes he looks me in mine, I tighten my grip on his shirt. "You hit like a pussy." I punch him again and again, my eyes blurring with tears when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I ignore the hand and punch him in the face over and over and over again. Warning: This story has abuse, rape and other things that aren't very happy. Please be careful before you start reading.
