In the near future, everyone has a microchip implanted into them at very young ages. The microchips plan out your life, but a young and rebellious conspiracy theorist named Matthew Bellamy, is determined to break the system.

Deep in observation of the crowd, I hadn't noticed who was now observing me. Only when my eyes travelled back to the stage, back to the black guitar and finally back to the singer's face, did my eyes meet his. I didn't know whether it was my heart or time in general that had stopped. Perhaps it was both. Perhaps it was a side effect of the meds they'd put me on. Regardless, the moment seemed to last forever, yet I could now feel it slipping, as if someone had oiled the cogs and time was now ready to resume its movement. Driven by a force yet undiscovered, I winked at the man, allowing a small smile to grace my lips. And just before he turned away to look at the crowd again, I saw my smile reflected on his face.

Hey 👋 This is my first fan fiction about Muse! It's taken directly from the Simulation Theory album. I mapped out a story from the clips, and took some liberties with the characters and universe, but tried to stay true to the core story and theme! I think it's understandable for people who don't know or listen to Muse, so feel free to read too. (A muse fan fiction) A boy stood with his back to the corridor, his long brown hair lay on his shoulders, he stood against the locker, new I assume. He slung his bag from his back and emptied it's contents into the locker. He slammed the door shut behind him and peered over his shoulder, making a lock of his deep brown hair fall in between his eyes and that's when they hit me, his eyes. His beautiful ocean blue eyes... But that's when I remembered Dom.
