The morning streets of New York City glow under the rising sun. Mutants and yokai are now free to walk among humans after the Kraang invasion - a fragile peace that finally lets everyone breathe. Among them is Y/n, a tall, intelligent, composed young woman with a natural "serious face," porcelain skin, black hair in a low messy bun, and sharp grey eyes. Despite her calm and reserved appearance, she's smart, witty, unselfish, and surprisingly funny when she wants to be - even capable of rapping (though she keeps that secret). She's also April O'Neil's childhood best friend, closer than sisters. While walking, she spots four mutant turtles and a human girl taking photos. She instantly recognizes the turtles - the heroes who saved New York. One of them, the turtle with the purple bandana - Donatello Hamato - catches her attention. Y/n and April reunite joyfully, hugging and laughing - surprising the turtles who didn't even know April had a secret bestie. Donnie, meanwhile, completely malfunctions upon seeing Y/n - frozen mid-sentence, eyes wide, mind short-circuiting. I think just about everyone who follows me remembers my old TMNT2012 fanfics from 2016-2020. The era of the internet where everything was uwufied edgy and never ending shipping wars.
