Everything was going good. You were doing good in school, you lived in a nice apartment with your mom, and your pet cat. Everything was going good. That is until you stumbled upon an odd group of men. Just as they were about to take you to who knows where and for who knows what, four mutants jumped in and helped you to ward them off. From that day on, not only has your life become weird, but you also were about to loose people who you most cared about.

(Y/n) thinks she's just Casey Jones's sister with a loud life and a fragile sense of control, until one strange night cracks the city open and reveals what's been living beneath it. In the aftermath, Donatello becomes the only steady thing in the noise, calm hands, careful questions, a voice that makes her breathe again. She keeps telling herself it's survival, not attachment, but her body doesn't listen. Somewhere between danger and secrecy, she realizes she's stopped looking for the exit and started looking for him.

"Yeah," he said low, reaching up to brush his thumb real gentle along my bottom lip. This sent shivers up my spine and the color staining my cheeks began to deepen.

Y/N was a 16 year old girl who was bffs with April O'Neil she met her about six months ago even though Y/N kind of hated people April and her just clicked. Only after six months Y/N and April were still really close they were like sisters. Y/N was very protective over April and since she was always getting herself into trouble this only made Y/N even more protective over her. when April was in trouble Y/N would always be there to help her no matter what. Y/N always noticed April would be very secretive about certain things and Y/N could sense she was hiding something from her, but she knew if April was hiding something there was a good reason. So she didn't think about it to much... little did she know that little secret April was keeping from her would change her life forever. A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other. --------------- I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved. Figured I had nothin' to lose, so this's what came outta that chat. Hope you dig it! First time putting words on paper, fingers crossed it ain't too shabby.
