At the mere age of 19, Dean Collins was already at the peak of his career. He was the Philippines' teen king and everyone knew that. Dean had it all, a girlfriend, money, popularity, and a great car, basically everything a guy his age would dream of... at least that was until he was mysteriously murdered. With the murder planned out so flawlessly, crime units had no one to blame, after all who could've killed the teen king of Philippine television? As far as everyone knew, Dean was loved by everybody... or was he? Enter another teen celebrity, Adonis "Donny" Alvarado, who always came second to Dean in terms of popularity votes, follower count, awards, and etcetera. Donny was Dean's junior, always cast as the supporting actor, the second lead and he hated it. He hated the fact that, to the country, he was only known as Dean's best friend. So when the king's throne was left vacant, Donny took his chance despite his agency's warnings, and quickly rose to the spot, filling in the empty space that Dean had left. This in turn, angers Dean's fans and prompts them to believe that Donny was the mastermind behind Dean's murder. Out of fear that Donny would meet the same fate as Dean, Sakura Entertainment reaches out to an armed detective agency and hires them to solve the case and provide Donny the protection he needs, which comes in the form of a small curly burgundy-haired girl named Charlie Gonzales. // A U T H O R' S N O T E // I apologize for the crappy description this is actually my first teen fiction novel, I hope you guys check it out.
