It's hard being a ghost; especially when you are trapped in the house that your child and their children live in. Sure it may seem great to be able to stay close to them but not when your Granddaughter is growing very ill and no one seems to notice.

This two part short story was inspired by this prompt: "You're driving a long, dark stretch of highway, when Death appears in the passenger seat, informing you that you are about to die. The car then spins out of control, flipping, and you black out. You wake up, hours later, in a deserted field. Death in is laying lifeless on the side of the highway."
