Melody didn't know her real parents. She's lived with her guardian Betty her whole life. She's content and happy, but thats about to change. Her world has been turned upside down and while she discovers who she really is, time is running out. Betty has fallen ill and the life she has always know is changing. Can she save those she loves most?

This is a story about a mirror. And a keyhole.Oh, and it's also about the house you see everyday. Regular in every way. Medium yard, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, etc. in a suburban neighborhood, occupied by a normal-but-not-boring family. It may also entail some smoldering male fairies, some pet shop birds that wound up in an orderly person's bedroom, a weird sprite creature thing found in the aforementioned bedroom, a mythical prison and a silly girl who read a few too many dystopian novels and how she inadvertently, accidentally plays a major role in the clash between realms. Basically, it's either the life of a silly teenage girl gone awry, or...she's in the hospital for a mildly serious concussion and they gave her some really strong sleeping pills with hallucinatory side-effects. It's a free country, right? So take your pick. (And read on!)

But there's a knocking at the Door once again. The one who caused the fall has returned and wants to finish what he started. Follow Fable, an elven potion-maker, as she embarks on a quest to save the magic her ancestors sought to protect. To do this, she commits a taboo that's been in place since the dawn of Myth; She allowed Humans through the doorway. Together, Fable, Brendan, and Nicolas need to see the truth in the myths and legends that surround the past in order to rebuild what Man and Myth had lost so long ago.

This story began as a flash fiction response, in 250 words. Jasmine lives in a small world that seems to be closing in on her. Is there any hope left? Or will she remain a caged bird? Parts 2 and 3 are the respective alternate endings: A, Realistic fiction, and B, Paranormal fiction. I'd like to know, which one do you prefer, and why? They are certainly different endings, but the message remains the same.

Prophecies are troublesome, tiresome, bothersome, wearisome, irksome... one would get the idea after being confined by it since the time they were even thought of being created. This story follows a few who are tied by said irritating prophecies - and how those prophecies are determined to make themselves come true, however the 'prophecees' may try to escape.
