Peggy is a university student in Manhattan. Working as a part-time secretary at a law firm, she walks to work from school every day, then takes the subway to her apartment. Dottie is a musician, who came to America with her big American dream. She's been on the streets of Manhattan since she arrived, playing covers to popular songs for some cash. Late one night, Peggy took the long way home and passed by Dottie's corner. Hearing the words to her favourite song, Peggy stopped and listened. You'd think everyone would know all about America's national treasure and the international celebrity icon, but there's more to her than meets the eye.
