Eiffel and Minkowski are restless sleepers in their own ways

Doug Eiffel never asked to be Dr. Hilbert's guinea pig, and now there's a deadly virus planted inside him. He never wanted any of this. Now he knows he's dying, and there's nothing he can do about it.

He may not seem like it, but Eiffel is a very touchy person and adores physical contact. After being in space for so long, he starts to get starved for affection, but doesn't know how to ask. Minkowski and Lovelace may be the tough badasses in charge, but they're also his friends who are more than willing to show him the love he deserves.

There's so much Eiffel wishes to say, but not enough time.

'Hui jerked awake with a strangled scream spilling through his lips. He clamped a hand over his mouth as soon as he was aware he that was making noise, but a panicked whimper still slipped through. He scrambled to sit up, pushing at the blankets covering him, suffocating him, and tried to remember how to breathe.' Or, when Hui's awake the memory of his solitude can fade like a bad dream, but once he's asleep he can remember it all too well. He's not alone anymore, though.

They've been on the Hephaestus for so long, you would think being back on Earth would be a relief. But after being gone so long, living on Earth again isn't exactly easy. Hoo boy gonna be a lot of angst friends.

Eiffel and Hera can tell that Minkowski is more stressed than usual. The communications officer decides to take it upon himself to help out.

A crossover fic (The Magnus Archives, Wolf 359, and Welcome to Night Vale) that's really only posted here so I don't lose it. Takes place early S3 of TMA, after the finale of W359, and nowhere in particular in WtNV (I'm not that far into it, I just like Cecil lmao), so spoilers. Please feel free to talk to me about any of these podcasts (especially TMA, we can suffer together)! I'm writing this a bit out of order so updates aren't on a schedule. I don't think this needs to be rated mature but that might change as the story evolves (currently the worst thing here is swearing but there might be violence later on.
