A Halloween Vault 2021 Poem Prompt #21 - What does cursed mean to you? This poem gets into the mind of a person blaming their birth on Halloween Eve for every misfortune in their life as a curse.

20th September 1959 11:55am: The existence of God is revealed to mankind. Mankind reacts. This original concept weaves a labyrinthine narrative of human behaviour as a group of strangers collectively respond to the most significant event in recorded history. Whispers emerge of extraordinary events occurring around the globe. Miracles, or opportunists exploiting the hopeful? For some, putting it all on the line to find out is a chance they have to take: A downtrodden father wants to redeem the damage he has done to his family. A lonely mother seeks to help her autistic child so that her husband will return to her. A fanatic takes violent exception to the news, and a morally confused criminal enlists the aid of free-spirited journalist to pull off an impossible deception. Why the revelation, at this particular point in civilisation? Is Utopia on the horizon, or has the irrational nature of man now found a new catalyst to bring on self-destruction? Being the outsider is always a tough situation to be in. Does Jake have to change himself and the way he has always functioned in this world in order to try and find some sort of happiness?
