After the battle at Burren and her assistance in the fight against Jonathan Morgestern, the Clave pardoned Francine of her mistakes and officially declared her an ally to the Nephilim. So she tried both. The Shadowhunters of the New York Institute find out about her, and decide to visit her. Sadly, no matter how hard they tried, the could not find the whereabouts of Sapphire. Her sister Emerald finds out about the Shadowhunters wanting to visit, so she decides to pay them a visit. Emerald thought they seemed nice, that she could trust them, so she told them her address. And Emerald lives with her sister, after all. The night after, Sapphire and Emerald receive a very special visit from someone. War. War between Shadowhunters and a magician and her sister.
