Christine Vale isn't one to do things on a whim, but when she gets a call from an old friend of hers, Dr. Rabinovich (Robby), asking her to transfer to the Pittsburgh trauma medical center emergency department, she does... She likes the Pitt as she works day shifts with Robby, until he unveils the fact she was always intended for night shift. As she fights back in annoyance that she was tricked, Dr. Abbot shoots her a sly smile "What? Don't think you can handle it?" Oh she can handle it...

Lonnie a beloved day shift nurse in the Pitt is stuck in a long term relationship with jay that is quietly falling apart. When her connection with ER attending dr. Jack Abbott deepens she finds herself drawn to something fresh and real but complicated.

From the moment you move in, Jack knows you will be trouble. He just didn't expect to get sucked into your chaotic life and become a main character in it, by sheer bad luck. Once involved, however, he isn't so sure he wants to escape all that much anymore.

"Oh God", I say softly, dropping my pen on my notebook. "I remember where I know Dr Abbot from." Mel looks to me from my side, as I stare ahead at the front of the room. "Where?" she questions quietly. I place my face in my hands, laughing lightly at myself, "I've matched with him on 3 different dating apps, and we've talked on them all, and never met up." I mumble out. "What?" she asks, not understanding me. I sit up a little, looking at her and dipping my head to repeat what I said quietly. She looks at me with wide eyes, "This is a disaster." I say to her when I pull back away from her.

"come on, summer. you can make it if you want to."

Her soulmates have never been Azzy's first priority. It's not like she didn't want to meet them eventually, she saw how her neighbors flourished within their soulmate's presence. Of course she would want that for herself, but between trying to scrape up enough money to get to college, to serving in the military, to piecing herself back together with glitter glue and scotch tape after being honorably discharged, her soulmates could wait. On top of this, working as a paramedic caused an ever-changing schedule, and the various hobbies that her therapist oh so insisted that she should have kept her busy for most of the week. Halfway across the city Robby and Abbot had a consistent rhythm to their life, they've lived together for the last ten years but are still missing something, or someone. What happens when that someone comes running into their ER.
