~Draco's eyes flashed with pain, the shame of what he did hitting him fully. But then, as if an instinct, he masked his features with a reserved look; his father's teachings again burying his emotions under earth and stone.
"I can't expect you to understand-" Draco started.
"Then help me to understand!" Louella yelled with fury. "I need to know how. Or why? Did you ever really like me, Draco? Or any of the people at this school? Did their lives not matter to you as much as pleasing your father? Why wasn't any of it enough? Why?" She cried.
"He threatened my mother!" Draco shouted back. Finally, the gates were open, the truth unburied.
"He threatened your life. I thought I was keeping the people that I loved safe by leaving with them, but all I have done is make things worse. I have watched the death eaters torture and murder and maim. My own father happily did so. And all I could think was, 'if I don't play the part, that will be Louella'. And I'm scared, Lou, I'm scared of everything. But the thought of losing you - terrifies me." He breathed.~
