In the 9:41 Dragon Age, Orlais undergoes a civil war, threatening the stability of southern Thedas. The Circle of Magi have rebelled against the oppressive Templars in a bid for independence, leading to all-out war. In a last ditch effort for peace, Divine Justinia V has orchestrated the Divine Conclave − a peace summit between the ambassadors of the templars and the rebel mages for the purpose of negotiating a compromise. A massive explosion kills the attendants of the Conclave and creates a huge tear in the Veil called the Breach, allowing Demons to invade Thedas. Tahlia, a former Tevinter slave, is the sole survivor of the explosion and wielder of the "Anchor" − a magical mark that bestows control over the Breach and Fade rifts. Her miraculous accolades and ability to seal the Fade rifts leaves many to believe she is a messiah, specifically the Herald of Andraste. Tahlia is inducted into the reborn Inquisition − an independent organization sanctioned by the late Divine Justinia to restore order should Thedas erupt into chaos. Her choices will shake the very foundation of Thedas as it leads to the ultimate build up against an evil ready to usurp the throne of the Maker Himself. **I do not own these characters. She dreams of a man, then. She feels that she knows him, somehow. Something about him so distinctly familiar and sad. His head is turned toward the sun, his legs crossed as they sit on a slanted rooftop and draw circles in the snow, like children. She draws her legs up to her chin and smiles into her knees because she thinks he's handsome, and because there are snowflakes collecting on his bald head. "Ilensul," he says warmly, without looking away from the sky, "That cloud there. What does it look like to you?" She looks up to where his finger is pointing, the outline of the cloud relatively unclear. But she plays the game. "Like...a wolf?" she guesses. He cocks his head to the side, and the snowflakes fall off. He remains silent for a long time, and then he turns, only enough for her to see his small smile. Only enough to cause a flutter in her stomach. "Like a wolf." He repeats.

After the demise of the dreaded Corypheus by The Inquisition, Lavellan is left pleading with the Maker, Andraste and anyone else who might listen to allow her the one thing she's lost along the way. Her Vhenon. Her Solas, adrift in the fade on a journey towards destruction and rebirth. But will he inevitably allow himself to tear down that final veil, forever breaking the anchor that holds her still within his heart?

A more longer/in depth conversation with Solas and Inquisitor Lavellan at the end of Trespasser. Mainly angst. Questions you wish you could have asked and things you wish you could have said. More romance!

As she and Solas become more intertwined, Ellana must deal with the Inquisition, and the forces seeking to destroy it - and her brother.
