Slazrea, is the daughter of Eragon Shadeslayer, and Arya Shadeslayer. She is the first dragon rider of the eggs Eragon's dragon, Saphira bore. Slazrea and her dragon Vervada, are taught to keep the peace as a dragon rider should. They have settled on Vroengard, in the forbidding ruins of Doru Araeba. Saphira and Eragon had searched and searched the ocean, and found some islands in the sea that might accommodate dragons, but they were too small. They have a large task force of elves weaving protective spells, and spells of cleansing around the island. Gleadr has helped them improvise spells, so that the spells that they weave around the island will stay put forever. It will take a long time, but Slazrea will help, and will get training as a dragon rider as well. She and her dragon must face forbidding evil that have been buried in the depths of Alagasia for so long, that it has been awakened by the magic of the new Dragon Riders, with new force. The oldest elves can hardly remember the magic their ancestors used to defeat it. Slazrea hopes that her father, mother, and herself can learn it before it is to late.

Aragog's kingdom is filled with joy, happiness, and celebration. Dorrmere's kingdom is filled with pride and responsibility. In this short story follow the adventures of Baobab and Marula, the discovers of the Evertree; Raegel and Oak, the explorers of the Outer Reaches, and the first recognizers of the SilkWings and HiveWings; and Viserra and Lycaena, the original enemies of the Wyrm. This story will cover the history of the Wyrm's beginnings, how Erdas was formed, and how the Great Beasts came to be.

Far away across the sea hidden from all of Erdas, Alagaesia breaks out into war after Eragon, a farm boy from Palancar Valley, takes up the mantel of the Dragon Riders after he discovers a mysterious blue stone in the Spine. What will happen to Eragon and Saphira as they struggle to evade the Empire and Galbatorix.

He froze, staring at the little dragon. "A d-dragon? But how?" he asked, his lips quivering. She grew protective, shielding the dragon with one arm. "The egg," she replied, as if it was obvious. "That was a mere rock." He walked up to her, then got in her face and asked again. "Where. Did. You. Get. The. Dragon?"
