She was never someone to be met by chance.
Long before Noven learned to temper her sharp edges, she had already been claimed by a gaze-patient, enduring, and quietly obsessive. It never interfered, yet it never left.
Luca simply watched.
She watched Noven grow-watched her stumble, then rise, watched her learn elegance alongside cruelty. She watched her perform the harshest acts with immaculate composure, carving out her own order somewhere between blood and etiquette.
At first, it was curiosity.
Then, it became habit.
Eventually, it became something she could no longer stop.

Noven has never liked being approached.
Composed and controlled, even her violence carries a certain refinement. She does not soften, does not beg-her desires are buried just as neatly, like a dragon that allows no one to touch it.
And yet-
she has no defense against Luca.
She is meant to be the one in control.
And yet, before Luca, she learns how to surrender it.
***
Luca never hides.
She sulks, she teases, she claims what's hers in the lightest tone imaginable. She knows exactly how to close the distance, how to guide, how to trap someone within a boundary drawn by a single careless-sounding line.
It always looks like a game.
But she is never guessing.
She knows, from the very beginning, that this was never equal-she watched Noven grow, waited for her to grow, and long before Noven realized anything, Luca had already decided she would never let go.
***
And yet, sometimes, she hesitates.
In rare moments, she remembers the weight of her years, and the body that forever looks too young-like someone misplaced in a story that was never meant for her.

"You've been watching me all along, haven't you?"
Noven asks.
Luca doesn't deny it.
She only smiles, stepping closer as she always does, her voice light-almost playful.
"And you're only noticing now?" she murmurs.
"Isn't that a little too late?"
