My great great great grandmother Ava has passed this journal through the generations and I feel the time is right to share it since she never got the chance of too. This was written by her and the omens have told me to share with you now- ------------------------------- Greetings Dragon, Magic, and Legend Enthusiasts. My name is Avalon Finley and I am not your average 26 year old woman. Ever since the young age of 7 I have been an avid Dragon Lover, and have devoted my life to the science of Dragonology. If you are not familiar with the term- Dragonology is the study of Dragonkind. I have worked in secrecy for many, many years but now I am releasing this journal to the public eye. The reason I fear the great Dragons that once ruled our adoring planet are on the sheer brink of extinction. I know there are certainly many sceptics reading this right now and I assure you after you read this you will believe in Dragonkind. This "Diary" you are about to read is my log book in which I have kept records of each and every of my Dragon encounters in great detail. You will be quite surprised to uncover the little known truth of the mysterious and gripping nature of Dragons. I am the last voice for these misunderstood beasts. As throughout all of history people have seen dragons as evil maiden eating monsters that casually and sinisterly destroy kingdoms. Whereas the truth is quite opposite. From the great wizard Merlin to the adventurer Marco Polo, this great study has been passed to me to now finally give to you.

After my initial studies of dragons over the years, I am glad to know that this book will help students over the world to understand and maybe one day undertake Dragonology. It means the world to me that I am able to help show that dragons are not to be feared, but to be understood. (Most of the information is canonical, but some is of my interpretation to fill gaps of knowledge, I do not take credit for any of the images, and the images are of my interpretation of the dragons, they may be different in canon, some of my own species of dragons appear in this book, discovered by my oc after the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them book was created, the only species I take credit for are those)

The soaked prisoner coughed up water, blearily opening their eyes and immediately wishing they hadn't. Leia knew that someone had hauled them onto a ship, but they hadn't realized it was a pirate ship. They started to crawl away, hoping that there was a chance to escape still, but a pair of arms grabbed their shoulders and threw them back onto the deck. They looked up to see two pirates staring at them, mischievous grins on their faces. "Captain- this the one you wanted ?" One of the pirates questioned. a pair of familiar hazel eyes met with hers. she's only known him for an hour but she was certain she would be able to recognize them form a mile away and that's what scared them. "This is the one," the pirate captain leaned in , eyes almost hungry as they watched the prisoner a gleam sparkling in them. "Where am I? Where are my friends?!" The prisoner sputtered, sifting through their hazy memories. Then they remembered. they glared up at the captain. "You- you I helped you. why am I here, what do you even need from me?" a Cheshire cat grin played on his lips. it was different from the two emotions he had displayed before. this was dark, full of secrets- the kind of smile you'd expect to see from the devil.
