Inspired by the song Blinding, by Florence and the Machine, Held Under follows Kanoa through her battle to find the world she once lived in.

Elmo Gonzo is your average klutzy 15-year-old boy. That is, as average as any kid who can use pyrokinesis, control shadows, be invisible, and fly (but not very well) can be. When he finally exposes his powers to the public while trying to assist a man, his efforts turn for the worst, and he is dubbed a villain. Accidental Villain leads the reader through Elmo's struggle to overcome his bad luck and become a hero. Only a preview.

This story takes place in an alternative reality, in what is now Ireland, during an ice age (referred to as the ice curse). The story takes place in prehistoric times. Luan is the first protector for the Tribe of the Broken Mountain ever since the ice curse ended. When she is on watch one night, she sees the development of a strange settlement. When she reports it to her pendragon, she is told that the dragon in control of the ley of the land for her area, Endellion, is possibly imprisoned here. But when she arrives to redeem the dragon, she is put through a situation she has never been in before. Protector takes the reader through Luan's journey to save Endellion and her tribe.
