Millions of years ago a team of adventurers were dispatched in a last ditch effort to slay a dragon which was terrorizing the land. However before they slaughtered it they glimpsed a sliver of humanity in its eyes and hesitated. The dragon wept and weaved a sorrowful tale of her life as a human before the king of the land cursed her to live in isolation. Taking pity, they decide to release from her eternal suffering and gift her with a map that was rumored to lead to the kingdom of dragons. In return the dragon made a promise. In the present day magic has disappeared without a trace, living on only in stories. Kaida however, is still not considered normal and her missing mother isn't helping. On the verge of giving up the search Kaida falls into despair. Now the bond between both human and beast are tightening, bringing both closer. Travel with Kaida to the world of the reverse side, from a place now void of magic to a land where the mythical reign.

basically just my opinion

Dragons. They absolutely despise humans. Humans. They absolutely despise dragons. Then there was her. A human that loved dragons and hated her own. The dragons loved her just the same. Humans hate those stronger than them that will not bow before them. She does not bow before anyone. Centuries of running from her own kind had shown her just what it was like to be hated by her own. So, she decided she wasn't going to be the one running. If they wanted her, they'd have to drag her kicking and screaming, and that wasn't something someone of her standing would allow. She was a duel user. She controls time and space, do you really think anyone could touch her? So, she recreated her life, the way she wanted to, she hopped from dimension to dimension learning about them all. She used that knowledge in her own world, she learned how to create and control magic that was not hers, how to tame dragons, how to command demons, how to defeat even the strongest of warriors. Now she keeps the peace between the dragons and the humans. Peace between the monsters. Peace between the kingdoms. Peace between the races. Even if that means she has to be the villain to do so. Ash was born in a small shack, in the slums of her city, in the midst of a bloody war. Little did she know, she would soon play a major part in it. Caine and his sister, Kathryn are trying to get a dragon egg to the city of Morata, where apparently a dragon tamer can hatch and raise the baby dragon inside. But an attack in the city prevents them from making it there and the siblings cross paths with Ash. They start a life changing journey to try and find a safe haven for humans and dragons alike, but and try not caught in the war on the way there. -------------------------- I'm awful at descriptions just to let you know, but this covers the gist of the story lol

Suddenly, the dragon, called Alligator, swung her tail around, knocking Tanu into her. Tanu was stuck between the dragon's belly and tail. Tanu sighed, trying to wiggle free, but Alligator's tail only tightened. Alicia giggled at Tanu's useless attempts. Alligator's eyes shot open, fully black. The dragon stared at Alicia, unblinking. Alicia stood steadfast, her heart racing. "I told you; you have a visitor." Tanu pat Alligator's tail. He did not seem nearly as scared by Alligator's movements as Alicia did. Alligator lifted her head, looking to Tanu, then back to Alicia. She straightened her tail, allowing Tanu to stand up. After standing, Tanu turned and grabbed one of the dragon's legs. He tried pulling the dragon up, pulling with all his body. Alligator stared at Tanu and blinked slowly, unaffected. She laid her head back down and shut her eyes, going limp. Tanu nearly fell forward from her weight. "Alligator! Come on now!" Tanu laughed, straining as he still tried to pull her up. Alligator opened her eyes again, but she did not move. The fire of the torchlight reflected in her dark eyes. "Are her eyes supposed to be like that?" Alicia asked; she still hadn't moved, feeling as if the dragon's gaze locked her in place. Tanu nodded. "Only RiverDragons have all black eyes, unless they are underwater. They put a film over their eyes to see heat in the murky water; it makes their eyes white." Alicia nodded, still staring at the dragon's eyes. With no color to them, it was hard to tell how the dragon was feeling. Alicia didn't know if the dragon was comfortable or scared by her presence; Alicia didn't even know if she was comfortable or scared. *note: the later half of these chapters are just archived, original writing. I've gone through and spruced up grammar and descriptions. But Erin? Why bother to keep it! (Because it's good to see your progress and show new writers progress, not perfection!)
