Sadly an operation gone wrong leads to the fleet escorting the only dreadnought built deep into enemy territory destroyed with the dreadnought itself barely surviving because of the overworked shipgirls forgetting to check if it was dead within the many floating wreckage.

Mercenary ships and fleets provide their services to the highest bidder, taking advantage of the conflict to gain much profit. One of these mercenary fleets, Echoes of Neptune, is on a return trip to Sinley Bay when they unexpectedly disappear. As one of the few respectable mercenary fleets, their disappearance draws some attention, but is ultimately ignored and the fleet is declared dead. But... what if they weren't?
