Zak woke up to the smell of smoke and someone shaking and yelling at him. As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw the golden flames licking his window. Zak felt a burn, looking down at his sleeve. He had slept in his hoodie again, and he was glad. Flames tried to climb up his sleeve, but he quickly patted them out. He jumped up and ran to the front of his house, opening the door and almost slamming it against the wall. He stopped at the sidewalk, and stared back at what used to be his house. Zak pulled out his phone, quickly dialing a number as sirens howled. Firemen hosed the flames to make them stop. The person on the other end picked up the phone almost immediately. "Hello?"
