Dream figures out Nightmares eventual fate, and researches how to swap them. By switching their spirit types and becoming corrupted instead, the multiverse's system changes.

This is a continuation of the canceled Dreamtale AU called Driftverse. The story will pick up where the original Driftverse left off. (By "left off" I don't mean where the comic stopped. I mean where the story was supposed to end according to the post that explains how the story would have played out if it weren't discontinued.) None of this is canon to the original Driftverse. I did not create Driftverse and I do not own any of the characters. I can't bring myself to delete this, but read at your own risk, this fic was written when I was in the FIRST YEAR OF MIDDLE SCHOOL.

Dream Sans was trapped in stone for 250 years, he was bound to stay in there for another 250 more but.. two gods decided to change that.

The dreamtale twins life was never perfect, to be honest. They both have their issues, and both of them are opposite yet have the same source. Little do they know, their future wants to bring them only more darkness... ... But what if the little light that lies in the darkness will come back in time? Will it save them all? Will the light help everyone, without getting swallowed by the dark?.. (A/N: I'm apologize, but I kinda have other ideas for stories that that I want to start them first, so this fanfic might be not updated soon... Okay, so I'm must say that while this is dreamswap, it's an au and It's just very loosely based with the characters and their roles. They act very different and some of their relationships are different. I'll explain more in the actual story. ! This is just An au it's not cannon at all!

This is a backstory of my AU that is called UG!Dreamtale or Uninvited Guest! Dreamtale. Most Nightmare and Dream, no matter which AU they come from, would always be destined to be enemies, fighting on different sides. In this AU though, things will be a bit different. The original Dreamtale story was swayed just because of the existence of one character. Follow the journey of my OC [Ziel] who will interact with the twins and change their fate, as well as her own. I only own my OC and the drawings, the rest of the characters are not mine (like Neil and Nim). Also, I changed the names of the twins. Everyone knows of the classic legend of Dreamtale. How Nightmare betrayed Dream, by eating the apples and destroying everyone who had every wronged him. This au randomly popped up as a dream of mine. So I decided to actually make it a thing. :,) ------ Desc: After taking someone else's magic by force, Nightmare (Now known as Illumine) finally got what he wanted, he corrupted the last golden apple. But he did not kill his brother to do it. Dream (or Blaze) panicked and ran away, surprised he was still alive. Finds out about his new power of taking positive energy & magic accidentally, and uses it to his advantage. The influence of Illumine's wrath turns his view into a corrupt one. While that happens, the whole multiverse (due to the lack of positivity) is greatly affected too. People lack happiness and feel fear, or a not as bad negative emotion. People switch sides as things started to die down with Illumine... while Blaze seeks revenge for ruining whatever he had left. ------- Original Dreamtale belongs to: Jokublog! Life can be strange. Even worse when a normal Multiverse changed drastically. instead of Dream and Nightmare, the multiverse's very own Ink and Error become the guardians of positivity and negativity. now know as moonlight and starshine, they live life from the very beginning, as children with no recollection of their past. until the become the gods of both negativity and positivity as well as creation and destruction. Will they let their new roles drive a wedge between them? or will they endure through it?

Dream Sans x Reader 'When the reader goes through a tough time in life, their favourite part of the day ends up being sleeping due to their lack of motivation. Dream notices this, however, and travels to the authors' dreams to comfort them in a time of need. The author wants to find this calming skeleton in the conscious world when this occurrence in their dreams starts to make them gain feelings for the sweet skeleton.'
