After Hiccup vanished from Berk, the Thorston Twins found a magical tome, meant for Gothi. But the Elder had them keep it. The person who created the tome to communicate with Gothi introduces them to the world of dragons and magic, while Berk gets used to have Snotlout as heir.

The Bad Guys return in forces with their old friends to see an old threat's apprentice strike again, one last time before all is lost.
