Young adult human falls to the underground, hiding for a month at the woods of Snowdin. This story is a prequel to the AU "The Soul of Love" focusing on the past and the origins of Asara's mother, Chara. You will discover her childhood on the surface, her fall to the Underground and her rise as the future queen of monsters. It is highly recommended to have read "The Soul of Love" before this story, as you may miss many references and important elements for the lore understanding. This was it. This was where everything would end. She sighed. At least she could die without anyone remembering her. That's how she should end. Humanity was cruel, selfish, and hateful. They didn't deserve her, so many times complimented for her kindness. She drew in a shaky breath and stepped forward. She felt her foot snag on a vine and she plummeted downward. Butterflies took flight in her stomach and she let out a bloodcurdling scream. Before she knew it, she had met the ground. She felt every bone in her body shatter. But strangely, a few minutes later, she opened her eyes, knowing from the small glimpse of her death spot that she was alive. She looked around. Pillars rose from the floor around her. She thought she was dead. "It sounds like it came from over here!" A voice startled her. Her rattling breaths grew fast and shallow as her heart beat in fear. A small, white-furred humanoid thing emerged from the darkness. He resembled a goat and sported a green shirt with two yellow stripes and blue jeans. He was a monster. He gasped at the sight of the child and said "Oh! You've fallen down, haven't you?" He kneeled down and reached for the girl's hand. His hands were furry too, with small white claws poking through the fur. She backed away, still on the ground, cornering herself on a pillar. "Its okay!" the monster said. "I don't bite!" He inched slightly closer. His eyes were full of worry and welcome. The child reached out shakily and grabbed his hand, wincing and waiting to die. She felt her hand being tugged and was pulled up. "Are you okay?" the monster asked. "What's your name?" "I..." The child began, speaking for then first time in what felt like forever. "I'm fine, and I'm Chara." "Chara? That's a nice name," the monster said. "My name is Asriel."

Frisk was always a curious little soul. They experimented in any way, shape, or form they could, testing things out from time to time to see if it was the right choice. They had a special power, a special little thing called a "save". If they did something, and the outcome was unfavorable, they could just bring themselves back to the "save point" and try again.

this is the sequel to "If Asriel Never Died", which is exactly what it sounds like, but I won't give too much away for the people that haven't read it, it is my other book on my works Description of this book (since I was talking about my other book before): It was after the Barrier broke that Frisk and Asriel made the decision to enter the Underground again to retrieve the monsters that had not made it out when they themselves, not including Toriel, Alphys, Undyne, etc. had. It had been going along normal, getting monsters from the Core and Hotland, and bringing them back to their safety at the village the humans had given the monsters. It continued like this for a couple hours until they found an interesting door, or elevator in Alphys lab... is this a secret to the rest of the Underground and the monsters in it? Alphys' is going to have some explaining to do, once they get out of here...
