They were never able to save Mobius from Dr Roundman so they were never truly accepted into the village. A few months ago Hover tracked a signal from someone's cellular device on another planet and was able to watch videos from this cell phone. There was another universe out there where he and his friends were successful and were beloved by all. Both humans and Mobians. He grew jealous, they all did.
